SECR is intended for use at self-service gas stations:
- registration of cash operations during sale of petroleum products (PP) and related goods at gas stations;
- accounting and control of movement of PP and related goods at gas stations;
- management of equipment used for dispensing PP at gas stations;
- SECR forms a control tape in electronic form (CTEF) and ensures transmission to tax authorities of electronic copies of settlement documents and fiscal reporting receipts.

SECR ensures control of fuel dispensers (FD) of all types (according to DSTU 9018) with electrical and mechanical measuring devices and nominal fuel flow rate — 40; 50; 100; 160 liters per minute.
SECR ensures control of all types of FD — electromechanical and electronic, which are connected according to the connection scheme of electromechanical FD, as well as electronic FD via RS-485, RS-422, Tokheim interfaces, current loop.
